SHORT VERSION: I've been in the travel industry for 45 years. Started at age 16 in the UK. Worked front line, owned and managed my own travel agencies, former VP Western Canada for Uniglobe Travel International, opened cruise departments, corporate travel departments, led groups... travelled to 40 plus countries, sailed 11 seas... still have a love for adventure.  My training & development role started in 1983. I have trained Canada wide, across the US and around the world in Egypt, Bosnia, UK, Spain, Jamaica, Bahamas, China and the Canadian Arctic.  Since 2001 I have written a monthly Selling With Steve column for the travel trade magazine called Canadian Traveller (www.canadiantraveller.net).

I have produced several e-BOOKs, published a soft cover marketing book in 2010, and write Self Study guides sold through CITC (www.citc.ca). My latest adventures in learning is the delivery of monthly webinars that run 75 minutes, include a workbook, a review of the recorded session and 30 minutes of idea time with me after the webinar. Very exciting!  Also, published Selling Travel my first digital magazine. (www.issuu.com/smptrainingco). My training philosophy is "No Fluff - No Theory!" In other words, I prefer the street savvy ways that generate new business. So that's the short version.  Oh... the NBG after my name - that stands for New Business Generator! Ya gotta love it! You can read the long version here: Long version

Here's how I often leave from and return to Vancouver Island.
It's a thrill and the view is terrific. If you haven't flown in a float plane... ya gotta do it!
Keep the audio down just a tad... that propeller is a little noisy!
