                        Consultative Selling teaches the finer points of discussion, negotiating, coaching, planning, closing, marketing and more. It gives the BDM a true insight into what business development is all about - from the initial meeting with a new owner to being  confident when engaged with senior management of national accounts.  

                        This is an intensive 2-day program to which Presentation Skills can be added to create a 3-day program.

                        Make sure your BDMs and your Sales Managers can deliver a speech that is remembered for being the BEST speech not the WORST. This is a skill that few suppliers ever enhance and yet it is where the rubber meets the road if you want to build your brand, boost your revenues and be top of mind with your agency accounts.

                        New Business Ideas

                        Boost and refine the creativity of your sales team. Make sure they can quickly articulate ideas that are proven to work and ideas that the agency owner can implement to sell more or your products. Also make sure your BDMs are fully conversant with your own sales tools. This is a 1 to 2 day program and also available as a webinar.

                        The 11 Habits 

                        BDM Training is licensed to train The 11 Habits of Highly Effective Meetings - a program designed for the travel trade. This is a 1-2 Day program with Day 2 given over to practise - yes practice! We know that most meetings meet for the wrong reason. In other words, little care is given to the title of the meeting when it is all important. We also know that meetings go off track, that certain personalities sidetrack the meeting and so we focus on how to 'take care of business' - a skill every manager / BDM should have.

                        Leadership Skills

                        This highly intensive 1-2-3 Day program will give your management team a taste of how they should be operating. It will include time management, meeting skills, coaching, delegation, hiring and firing, public speaking and more. You may choose the content if you have specific needs or let us customize it for you. There are options that include management assessments for and related to  Emotional Intelligence, Leadership,  Team work and more. Follow up programs are recommended.

                        Presentation Skills

                        A program every manager should take and refine each year. This program is trade focused for speaking at fall conferences, your own in-house meetings, gatherings and in-agency sessions too. This is a skill never to be taken lightly. Careers are built and lost on how well you can hold an audience - or not.

                        Coaching The Team

                        Not everyone can do it. There are tips and tricks to truly coaching a sales team to be their best. Usually it starts with being credible, having done the job, able to show how the job is done and leading by example.
